About This Blog

My name is Corey Sznajder and I used to run the Carolina Hurricanes blog Shutdown Line. I spend a lot of time watching hockey, tracking events from games and writing about them on the internet. Expect a lot of that on this new blog along with some other stuff I’ll post to keep myself busy.

Oh, I once was stupid enough to track zone entries & exits from all 1,230 games of the 2013-14 NHL season. Go here to learn more about that and here if you want to see the results.

Right now, this blog is currently home to my data collection project for the 2016-17 NHL season. My goal is to have the entire season tracked like I did in 2013-14 and have the stats available for reference here on a daily basis. I also want to track as much of the previous two seasons as I can but as you can probably guess, this work takes a lot of time and it’ll be awhile before that gets done.

If you want to learn more about my project for the 2016-17 and how you can help out, please visit my Patreon or my GoFundMe page. I can really only do a project like this if I commit to it full time, so your support would mean a lot to me and I will do my best to get all the data posted as quickly as possible.
